In 1913 Marcel Duchamp conceptualized chance and indeterminacy challenging traditional methodologies in developing art-works. ‘The Idea of the Fabrication’ outlined a way to make drawings that could be followed by the novice or the professional. I have developed (on-going project) a number of drawings published as posters that expand on systems of ecology and environmental patterns. These poster/drawings (A0 size) are presented to the public to work on in the gallery and/or take home with them to complete.
This event aims to locate drawing between art, its participants and discourse as a collective cultural process.
