This work functioned both as an archive of observational research in the studio and on location engaged with notions of nature-study, landscape formations and ecology. Applying a combination of mediums and tactical processes this work attempts a playful approach to how we see and experience the world around us on a micro and social level.
This project had two key influences: Arne Naess ecologist and founder of the Deep Ecology Movement who died recently and the pioneering work of Anna Botsford Comstock’s whose work readdressed human relationship to nature through art, educational and scientific processes.
